Filipa Sousa Lopes
Filipa Sousa Lopes is a secondary school teacher in History. She holds a master degree in History of Institutions, and Modern and Contemporary Culture from the University of Minho, Portugal, with the thesis A Oposição à Ditadura no concelho de Vila Nova de Famalicão. She holds a PhD in History from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto, with the thesis As vozes da oposição ao Estado Novo e a questão de Goa (1950-1961). She is an Integrated Researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History – NOVA University of Lisbon and is part of the International Group for Studies of Colonial Periodical Press of the Portuguese Empire (IGSCP-PE). Her research interests include the Portuguese dictatorship, decolonization, and liberation struggles.
