Elizabeth Olegário Bezerra da Silva

Elizabeth Olegário is currently a PhD student in Portuguese Studies: Area of Specialization: Book History and Textual Criticism, at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the New University of Lisbon (NOVA FCSH). She has a scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology, Portugal - FCT/PT (SFRH/BD/145768/2019). She is an integrated researcher at CHAM (Center for Humanities) and member of the group: Information, Readings and Forms of Writing (CHAM NOVA FCSH) and is also a member of the COST Action 18126 - Writing Urban Places, of the European Union, member of the group: Teaching, Difference and Production of Subjectivity, of the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel) - Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. She is a member of the board of directors of ABIC - Association of Scientific Research Fellows, from Portugal (2023-2025), and a member of the board of directors of the student association of African and Lusophone Studies, NEAL - NOVA FCSH. She is a writer and literary critic who has participated in the 8th and 9th Maputo Book Fair, the 1st and 2nd Quelimane Book Fair, Zambézia (Mozambique). She has texts published in the Portuguese cultural magazine Gerador, in the newspaper Le Monde Diplomatique – Portuguese Ed. and texts and interviews in the newspapers Saiba Mais (Natal/RN), Potiguar Notícias (Natal/RN), Tribuna do Norte (Natal/RN), Suplemento Literário Correio das Artes (João Pessoa/Paraíba), Jornal A União, from Paraíba (João Pessoa, Paraíba). She has a degree in Portuguese Language and Literature from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and a Masters degree in Communication and Media Cultures from the Federal University of Paraíba. In 2023 she was a guest lecturer at the Università degli Studi di Siena (UNISi), at the Liceo Classico Statale GALILEO di Firenze, at the University of Cape Verde – Polo III- Santa Catarina and at the University of Santiago – Cape Verde.
