Anabela Freitas
Graduated in History, Master in History of Culture and PhD in Culture, all from FLUP. I was a secondary school teacher, after basic school; I taught initial training and complementary training at the Piaget Institute in Vila Nova de Gaia; at Universidade Lusófona do Porto a master's degree and a doctorate, at ULHT a doctorate. There, I did research and participated in the Teaching Associativism Project, funded by FCT. I currently teach at IPLUSO. I've been part of Associação Colóquios de Lusofonia since 2002, which allowed me to contact with the entire lusophone world. I also taught a short course at the University of Minho (Azoreanity), two seminars at FLUP (short story and novel) and at the University of Toronto (Rebelo de Bettencourt and Modernism). In addition, I am a writer of fiction books, especially for young people. In 1996, D. Bruxa Gorducha was distinguished by the magazine White Ravens and, in 2017, I received the Florbela Espanca award (fiction) for the book Viver sempre também cansa.
