International Seminar Arquivos e Memória "África na Imprensa Colonial e a Imprensa Colonial em África", 6 November 2018

The International Seminar  Arquivos e Memória "África na Imprensa Colonial e a Imprensa Colonial em África" happened on 6 November 2018 in Maputo, at the Eduardo Mondlane University. The programme focused on the following themes: Press, Literature and Memory; Press and the Construction of Imaginaries in Colonial Spaces; Press and Sport. The Historical Archive of Mozambique (AHM) has organized an exhibition related with its press collection.

The Seminar was preceded by the Workshop GIEIPC-IP: Desafios Comuns e Dinâmicas locais (The IGSCP-PE: Common Challenges and Local Dynamics), at the Universidade Pedagógica de Maputo.

These were joint initiatives of the Arquivo Histórico de Moçambique - Universidade Eduardo Mondlane (AHM), Universidade Pedagógica and the GIEIPC-IP, with the support of CHAM - NOVA/FCSH, which allowed to create the IGSCP-PE Branch in Mozambique that is very active in the group's events.
