The colloquium Between wars and peace: New Perspectives and Challenges of Portuguese
Migration (1914-1945)
will happen on the 19th and the 20th November 2026, at the Université Paris 8 – Saint-Denis. The workshop aims to bring together scholars working on the history of Portuguese migration during the interwar period. Its objective is to create a space for dialogue and scientific debate based on a multidirectional and multi-geographical perspective, in order to highlight the contributions and new research approaches toward which the scholarly community has more recently turned. Paper proposals should include an abstract (up to 250 words), a title, the author’s name, institutional affiliation, and a short biographical note (up to 200 words).  Proposals should be sent to the email address [email protected] by 30 April 2026. Click here for the call for papers and poster of the event.
